Forklift Extension

Forks and Fork Extensions

Forks and fork extensions are among the most commonly used forklift accessories in warehouse and industrial environments. They are also one of the most common items we sell! Midwest Material Handling supplies steel forklift forks and fork extensions designed to handle a wide range of pallet sizes, load lengths, and weight capacities.

Steel forklift forks are available in multiple lengths and capacities and are commonly used as replacement forks or upgrades when handling requirements change. ITA hook type forklift forks fit standard Class II, Class III, and Class IV carriages and are widely used in both light duty and heavy duty applications.

When oversized pallets, long crates, or bulky materials need to be handled, fork extensions allow operators to safely increase usable fork length. Extensions slide over existing forks and are available in standard steel or lightweight high strength designs that reduce handling effort. For safe operation, fork extensions must not exceed half the length of the original fork. Our team can help confirm proper sizing, capacity, and compatibility for your forklift before use.

Carpet Pole

Forklift Carpet Poles and Carpet Rams

Forklift carpet poles are used to transport rolled materials such as carpet, vinyl flooring, textiles, and similar products. These attachments mount directly to the forklift mast and provide better control when handling long or irregularly shaped rolls.

The most common carpet pole length is 144 inches, though other sizes are available depending on the application. Proper use requires the roll to remain fully supported by the pole without extending past the end. Carpet poles are commonly used in flooring warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities that handle rolled goods on a regular basis.

Forklift Work Platforms

When overhead access is needed, forklift work platforms provide a stable elevated surface for maintenance, inventory access, and repair work. These fork mounted platforms are frequently used in warehouses, plants, and industrial facilities where ladders or scaffolding are not practical.

Work platforms are designed to secure to forklift forks and typically include guard rails, toe boards, and non slip flooring. When matched correctly to the forklift and task, work platforms allow crews to complete overhead work efficiently while maintaining controlled access.

Forklift Attachment Drum Tilter and positioner

Forklift Drum Attachments

Forklift drum attachments make it easier to lift, move, and position steel and plastic drums while reducing the risk of spills and product damage. These attachments are commonly used in manufacturing, chemical handling, food processing, and industrial storage environments.

Common options include drum lifters, drum carriers, and drum rotators that allow operators to handle drums with greater control. Selecting the right attachment depends on drum size, weight, and handling requirements. Our team can help identify the appropriate solution for your operation.

Fork Lifter

Fork Lifter/Repositioner

Fork lifters are designed to make removing and repositioning forklift forks safer and more efficient. These tools slide over the fork body and secure in place, allowing forks to be lifted using standard overhead equipment. Fork lifters are commonly used during maintenance or fork changes to reduce manual handling and improve workplace safety.

Vinyl Forklift Cab Enclosure

Forklift Cab Enclosures

Forklift cab enclosures help protect operators from wind, rain, and cold weather conditions. Vinyl cab enclosures attach quickly and fit a wide range of forklift capacities commonly used in warehouses and outdoor yards.

Clear visibility panels allow operators to maintain awareness while staying warm and dry during poor weather. Cab enclosures are especially useful for loading docks, outdoor storage areas, and facilities with frequent exposure to the elements.

Forklift Safety, Pedestrian Lights and Alarms Forklift Safety Pedestrian Lights and Alarms

Forklift Safety Lights and Warning Alarms

Forklift safety lights and alarms improve visibility and awareness in busy warehouse and industrial environments. These accessories help alert pedestrians and nearby equipment operators to forklift movement, especially in high traffic areas.

Options include forward facing warning lights, safety spotlights, backup alarms, and audible alert systems. When installed properly, forklift lights and alarms support safer facility operations and help reduce the risk of accidents in shared workspaces.
