Self Dumping Steel Hoppers are engineered for safety and economy. Hoppers are perfectly balanced to roll forward when loaded, dump completely and automatically return to an upright, locked position ready for reloading. Continuous welding helps to prevent dripping of wet materials (leak-proof hoppers are available upon request). Units include formed smooth edges around the top and a pouring lip for safety and strength. Extended sides prevent side-wise scattering of material. Strong, easy-to-operate latching mechanism. LOAD CAPACITIES: Our Self dumping hoppers come in a range of load capacities. Light-duty hoppers have a 2,0000 lbs. capacity and are used for lighter materials. Medium-duty hoppers have a 4,000 lbs. capacity and the heavy-duty hoppers include a 6,000 lbs. capacity and can be used for scrap metal, concrete, and other heavy industrial materials.

SIZE: Be sure to include the exterior dimensions, as well as how many cubic yards of material the hopper can hold. The size of the hopper you need depends on your space and how much waste material your warehouse produces. The biggest convenience of hoppers is being able to collect waste in one area without having to constantly empty the trash. SELF DUMPING STEEL HOPPER OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES include hinged lids which must be factory installed. One lid size fit the heavy duty, heavy, or medium size duty hoppers. Hoppers with lids are not stackable. NOTE: the addition of a lid may alter the operation of the hopper.

Casters are available for hopper sizes up to 2.5 yd.³ and come in a 6” or 8” diameter Caster sets come in a two swivel two rigid configuration. 90 DEGREE SELF DUMPING HOPPERS are another popular member of the self dumping hopper family which features a full 90° dump angle for 100% discharge of wet, vicious materials. These 90° steel self dump hoppers are designed for forklift handling. They feature an easy dump release which can occur while seated on forklift. The operator simply pulls the dump cable to release the spring-loaded latch for a full 90° tilt. Hopper returns to an upright position when lowered to the ground. A positive locking mechanism prevents accidental dumping, while a safety chain secures the hopper to the forklift. Watertight interiors at no extra charge.

HOW DOES A SELF DUMPING HOPPER WORK? The Self Dumping hopper is built with a safe and efficient design and consists of the hopper body connected to its base by a sophisticated al mechanical lever assembly and secured in an upright position. You use one of three handle release systems to engage the lever assembly, rotating the hopper body forward while perfectly balanced. After the hopper releases its contents, the container returns to its upright resting position and locks back into place.
