Steel Pipe Bollards | Ohio

Protecting your people, equipment and facility starts with the right safety products. Steel pipe bollards are one of the most effective ways to prevent costly damage caused by forklifts, delivery trucks, service vehicles and other equipment operating around your building.

Whether you’re protecting pallet racking inside a warehouse, shielding electrical equipment or securing building entrances, pipe bollards create a durable barrier between vehicles and valuable assets. They are commonly installed in warehouses, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, commercial buildings and industrial facilities where safety and property protection are a priority.

Steel pipe bollards are just one of the many warehouse safety products we offer. As part of our complete line of material handling equipment, we help businesses throughout Ohio protect their people, equipment and facilities with dependable industrial safety solutions.

Midwest Material Handling supplies high quality steel pipe bollards throughout Ohio. We offer both surface mounted and pour in place pipe bollards to meet the needs of new construction projects and existing facilities alike. Surface Mounted Steel Pipe Bollards

Surface mounted steel pipe bollards are the ideal solution for protecting existing facilities without removing or replacing concrete. Each bollard is secured to an existing concrete slab using heavy duty anchor bolts, providing dependable impact protection with minimal disruption to your operation.

Because installation is quick and efficient, surface mounted bollards are commonly used in occupied warehouses and manufacturing facilities where downtime must be kept to a minimum. They provide excellent protection for pallet racking, machinery, overhead doors, pedestrian walkways, electrical panels, loading dock equipment and building entrances.

Surface mounted bollards are available in several pipe diameters, heights and finishes to match your facility’s requirements. Standard safety yellow powder coated finishes provide excellent visibility while galvanized options offer additional corrosion resistance for outdoor environments.

Removable and offset pipe bollards are also available for applications where temporary vehicle access or specialized protection is required.

Pour in place pipe bollard

Pour In Place Steel Pipe Bollards

When maximum impact resistance is required, pour in place pipe bollards are the preferred choice. These bollards extend below grade into a reinforced concrete footing, creating a permanent barrier capable of withstanding significant vehicle impacts.

Pour in place bollards are frequently specified for new construction projects and locations where forklifts, delivery trucks or other vehicles regularly operate. Their embedded design provides superior strength and long term durability, making them ideal for protecting critical infrastructure and high traffic areas.

Common applications include building corners, loading docks, gas meters, transformers, utility equipment, fire protection systems, storefronts, HVAC equipment and exterior pedestrian walkways.

If your project includes new concrete work or requires the highest level of protection, pour in place bollards offer the most robust solution.

Bollard Covers

Bollard covers are an easy and cost effective way to improve the appearance of existing steel pipe bollards while adding an extra layer of protection against weather, scratches and everyday wear. They slide over existing bollards and are available in several colors and styles to complement warehouses, commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

In addition to improving visibility, bollard covers can help reduce maintenance by eliminating the need for frequent repainting. They’re an excellent option for facilities looking to refresh older bollards without replacing the steel pipe underneath. To install, the cover simply slips over the existing bollard. In some instances, a self tapping set screw can be used to secure it in place (generally not needed).
