Self Dumping Steel Hopper

Self Dumping Forklift Hopper are perfectly balanced to roll forward when loaded, dump completely and automatically return to an upright, locked position ready for reloading. Continuous welding helps to prevent dripping of wet materials (leak-proof hoppers are available upon request). Units include formed smooth edges around the top and a pouring lip for safety and strength. Extended sides prevent side discharge of material. Strong, easy-to-operate latching mechanism. These units are extremely easy to use and ensure operator safety by not requiring the forklift operator to leave the truck.

These steel dumping hoppers are designed for forklift handling, dump safely from any height and are precisely balanced to tip forward for complete discharge of contents and return to an upright position. For wet or dry use. A positive locking latch prevents accidental dumping, 2” formed top lips increase rigidity and eliminate sharp edges. A safety chain secures the hopper to the handling vehicle. Empty units through 2 yd.³ size could be stacked up to three high for space savings, though they are not to be stacked when loaded. Hoppers are shipped fully assembled and ready to use.

Choose the extra heavy-duty hoppers for the most demanding applications. Heavy duty hoppers and medium duty hoppers are available for loads that don’t require the capacity of the extra heavy-duty models. Empty units through 2 yd.³ can be stacked up to three high with heavier or lighter models of like size.

Our Self dumping forklift hopper come in a range of load capacities. Light-duty hoppers have a 2,0000 lbs. capacity and are used for lighter materials. Medium-duty hoppers have a 4,000 lbs. capacity and the heavy-duty hoppers include a 6,000 lbs. capacity and can be used for scrap metal, concrete, and other heavy industrial materials.

Make sure to include the exterior dimensions, as well as how many cubic yards of material the hopper can hold. The size of the hopper you need depends on your space and how much waste material your warehouse produces. The biggest convenience of hoppers is being able to collect waste in one area without having to constantly empty the trash. SELF DUMPING STEEL HOPPER OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES

Don′t forget a wide range of factory installed options suitable for any application. Remember, hinged lids which must be factory installed. One lid size fit the heavy duty, heavy, or medium size duty hoppers. Hoppers with lids are not stackable. NOTE: the addition of a lid may alter the operation of the hopper.

Add casters to your hopper for mobility and make your forklift available for other duties. Casters are available for hopper sizes up to 2.5 yd.³ and come in a 6” or 8” diameter Caster sets come in a two swivel two rigid configuration. All wheels have roller bearings… swivel casters have hardened double ball raceway and a three-quarter inch kingpin. Hoppers are shipped with casters bolted to the base; casters may also be field installed. Other popular accessories, such as three-way entry and trip chains are also available.

90-DEGREE SELF DUMPING HOPPERS

Are another popular member of the self dumping hopper family which features a full 90° dump angle for 100% discharge of wet, vicious materials. These 90° steel self dump hoppers are designed for forklift handling. They feature an easy dump release which can occur while seated on forklift. The operator simply pulls the dump cable to release the spring-loaded latch for a full 90° tilt. Hopper returns to an upright position when lowered to the ground. A positive locking mechanism prevents accidental dumping, while a safety chain secures the hopper to the forklift. Watertight interiors at no extra charge.

Bumper Release Hoppers

Hopper automatically dumps when bumper release contacts the front of the dumpster. Hopper returns to an upright and locked position automatically after it dumps. Also includes a cable that may be operated from the seat of the fork truck to manually dump the hopper. A safety restraint is provided to secure the hopper to the fork truck. Self-dumping hoppers facilitate compliance with OSHA General Industry rule 29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(iii) by allowing lift truck operators to remain at the controls of their truck throughout the dumping process.

Low Profile, 90 degree Self Dumping Hopper

These low profile Hoppers are the perfect solution for loading and unloading large and small items. With a steel construction, the hopper maintains an enduring strength throughout the strain of consistent daily use. The manual release feature gives the forklift driver the ability to never leave the driving position, which allows personnel to stay at a safe distance throughout the dumping process. With a low profile design, the visibility of items and surroundings can be maintained throughout the loading and unloading of products. Must be attached to fork truck when unloading.

Drop Bottom Steel Hopper

A hopper with a bottom dump feature is a unique design not typical to classic hoppers. With a bottom dump hopper there is limited wasted space. Unlike standard hoppers that have angled sides to encourage the product to flow out, the bottom dump hopper utilizes all of the space in the hopper. There are built-in fork pockets to pick up hopper from the top, allowing the bottom to open and the hopper to be quickly emptied. An attached cable lets the user continue to be seated while opening the bottom hatch, minimizing downtime and the need for additional personnel.

HOW DOES A SELF DUMPING HOPPER WORK?

The Self Dumping hopper is built with a safe and efficient design and consists of the hopper body connected to its base by a sophisticated al mechanical lever assembly and secured in an upright position. You use one of three handle release systems to engage the lever assembly, rotating the hopper body forward while perfectly balanced. After the hopper releases its contents, the container returns to its upright resting position and locks back into place.
