One of the great advantages of Coil Racking is by stacking coils that were formerly stored on the floor, steel coil storage solutions increasing valuable floor space without building, while providing a high density storage solution.

WHAT IS COIL RACK?

Coil Racking is a more specialized type of storage racking system that is designed specifically to store large steel and metal Coils. This type of Rack is designed and constructed out of Structural Racking with the heaviest duty steel I-Beam available. It has the heaviest capacities available in the marketplace. Storing loads up to 80,000 lbs. and four coils high is not an issue!

In addition to the Structural Rack to store Coils, there are several options available to ease in loading and storage of the Coils.

COIL CRADLES

One of the most common options are Coil Cradles. Standard Coil Cradles are built for coils between 30″-48″ (not exceeding) 48″ in diameter. Standard Coil Cradles have a 10,000 lbs. capacity. These Coil Cradles are built differently than Drum Cradles as they are designed to hold significantly more weight.
